The P-sweater is an iconic third-year piece of merchandise that comes in two colors: blue and white.

I led the design and purchase of the merch.

To promote it, we were inspired by Katseye's viral GAP Ad campaign. We wanted to build on that—leveraging the chime in "Milkshake"—to build hype around the 2 different versions we had to offer.

BRANDING

Real People, Front and Center

In developing a visual identity, other Class Boards' promotional material went stale, with declining engagement on-campus and social media.

We reimagined what branding meant for Class Board ’27, placing real people and places front and center.

To develop a visual identity that wouldn't grow stale, we reimagined what branding meant for Class Board ’27, placing real people and places front and center.

Our first order of business: "reimagining Penn" for the Class of 2027.

Our second order of business: a brand guideline that doesn't feel like a template.

Based on our best-performing posts, we settled on the above format:

  • Catchy event title (bold font) for 20% of graphic

  • Real people (our executive board) front and center

  • "CB '27" featured on the logo, with red/blue color scheme

MERCHANDISE

At Penn, official branding is heavily restricted.

Most class gear ends up looking templated or low-quality. we set out to change that for the class of 2027.

How might we design class merch students actually want to wear- within strict copyright rules?
